Gorean Reflections

Where Adventures Happen

A Vision

I originally intended for this site to be for the City of Sais, but as I began researching I noticed that some sites concentrated solely on what they were about, which is totally understandable. However, tidbits of information were provided as to Castes, Ships, Outlaws and others. This, given My character, teased and whetted the appetite and I decided that I wanted something more. Something more prolific that would not only help further the education of those who are new and "old" alike, but too, I wanted to be able to provide as much information and perhaps insight as possible.

Of course I am quite conscious of the fact that the books provide much more valuable information than any site could begin to fathom or muster. But, in lieu of that, perhaps this little corner of what is My Gor (for we all have different views of how we perceive Gor in spite of the fact that we all gather together because we believe) will be an aid.

I always imagined seeing a site, much akin to that of the Central Fire where everything is more or less in one place. But even that illustrious site I feel is missing certain information. I understand the conformity and I also understand the reason for the quotes, which I too, have provided. How else to ascertain the origin of the information provided?

I have this vision of encompassing ALL aspects of the Gorean culture into one generalized area, as well as providing links to other chat forums, message boards and 'Educational' sites such as Luther's Scrolls.

As Gor is outside most People's way of thinking, this site will be 'Outside the Box'. I am not going to provide the standard, run-of-the-mill information. This site, I believe, encompasses much, much more. Perhaps similar to that of the Central Fire. I've included a "How to" section because slaves aren't and weren't the only people that needed to 'know how'. Free Women of various Cultures needed to know certain things as well as keep busy too. In fact, most Free Women of the Tribal Cultures were as busy as the slaves and did chores as well. Of course nothing as menial as what the slaves were required to do, but Free Women weren't as idle in the books compared to what we see currently on-line.

I am aware that there are far better 'well-designed' Gorean sites out there, some of which may also contain what I'm including. Some have little buttons that will allow you to search the site too. Some have more quotes and stories as well. If that is the case, then I am humbled but proud for being able to add another Gorean Site among so many.

You'll probably think I'm wasting My time and wonder why I would go to the trouble? The answer is simple: I don't like having to go all over 'cyber-space' to search for what I’m looking for. I am aware as well, that the information contained herein might not be all the information that's available and that's well and good.

Power is knowledge, so I've heard. And I do not proclaim to be an expert on Gor. I am far from it. The information provided is to aid all of us, from "What is Role-Play" to the Slave Corner to a link that provides real Gorean Kajira and Kajiru Training. I am but one among so many of us that walk My own path in an environment that is just… right.

We've all heard, and, I'm sure, have often quoted the phrase, "Knowledge is power." However, knowledge stems from research and our own education and common sense, which, more often than not, provides new and heretofore uncharted territory. Knowledge also allows us to better ourselves in adapting and understanding diverse cultures and, I believe provides a better insight into whom, and what we are as well.

Gor is not about one particular group, Caste or Tribe of People. It is, to Me, about all of us.

Also, if any of the information placed here is yours or you know the name of the individual who wrote something in particular and I've not given the correct credit, please get in touch with Me as soon as possible so I can rectify the error and make it right. I don't lay any claim to ALL that's written here, just some of it.

With this in mind changes will be taking place on this site. Constant changes. Not necessarily 'upgrades' mind, but rather more correct information when (and if) I'm proven wrong or have misstated. Again, I do not take credit for everything contained herein, but credit is afforded where it is due. The sites where some of this information seen and gathered are listed in Valuable Resources and much of the information came from years of accumulating. This site is not intended to infringe upon the already set in place copyrights of John Norman. Please be aware that the content of this material is rated M for mature and if you are not over the age of 18 (in some places 21) I ask that you be conscious of that fact and go elsewhere.

I wish You All a most enjoyable experience!
